April: The month of many seasons.
Here in New York, the weather has been largely unable to make up its mind. Is it spring? Is it summer? Is it winter? We’ve had all three in one week. Heck, we had a 30 degree temperature swing in one day. One moment, I am wearing short sleeves and enjoying the sunshine. The next, I am dragging my down jacket out of the closet.
One thing I am definitely excited about, regardless of the temperature, is National Peeps Day. And guess what…. It’s today! Fun fact: It used to take 27 hours to make a Peeps chick (the marshmallow needed a lot of time to dry before packaging). Thanks to Bob Born, the son of the original founder, production now takes just six minutes. I am an unapologetic Peeps fan, and I look forward to every holiday variety. I’ve never met a Peep I didn’t like, but I do have a favorite - the chocolate dipped yellow chicks. Do you love Peeps too? Or do you loathe them? It’s okay, we can still be friends!

My LinkedIn Tip of the Month: Make it easy for people to say Yes.
Your profile isn’t just about who you are, it’s about giving people a clear next step to connect, engage, or collaborate with you.
Whether you’re building your thought leadership, landing clients, or quietly exploring your next career move, the goal is the same: make it easy for people to say yes.
Here’s how:
→ Clarify what you do and who you serve in your headline and About section.
→ Add a clear call to action in your Featured section. ("Book a call," "Read my latest article," "Join my newsletter" — tell people exactly what to do next.)
→ If you have LinkedIn Premium Career or Business, use the custom button or custom link feature on your profile. This is prime real estate for actions like "Visit my website" or "Schedule a meeting." You can now link your Calendly account directly with the “Book An Appointment” custom button - now people visiting your profile don’t have to leave the platform to book time with you!
→ If you’re a jobseeker, be sure your profile highlights the kinds of roles or opportunities you’re targeting. Subtle signals — like your headline, Featured section, and About summary — can help the right opportunities find you, even if you’re not broadcasting it publicly.
Bottom line?
People want to connect with you, but you have to make the invitation clear. A well-placed CTA (call to action) can turn profile views into real conversations.
