May's Brew: Buzzing with Momentum
Here Come the May Flowers!
I am very happy to bid those April showers adieu. May flowers, here I come!
Did you know that some flowers “hear” bees coming?
It’s true! Researchers have discovered that certain flowers, such as evening primrose, can sense the vibrations of a bee’s wings and respond by producing sweeter nectar within minutes.
It’s nature’s way of saying: “Welcome, VIP pollinator.”
It’s a great metaphor for LinkedIn too: When you listen to what your audience needs, you become irresistible.

May just feels different. There’s something about that first iced coffee of the season. You know the one: slightly overambitious, maybe ordered before it’s truly warm enough… but still full of promise. That first sip hits different. It says: We’re stepping into something new.
That’s the vibe I am looking for this month. More light. More clarity. More showing up—online and IRL.

Speaking of IRL….
📍 Mark Your Calendars: May 19 If you were at our NYC event in December, you know. The energy was different. It wasn’t a networking event, it was a day of connection and community.
We’re doing it again.
I’m teaming up with Ben Schwartz and Tavern Community Coworking for a full day event that you won’t want to miss:
Networking lunch
Coworking + creative recharge
A killer LinkedIn panel
New surprise activities
A happy hour to end the day right
Donnie Boivin and Kevin D. Turner are flying in from Texas, Wendy Shore Rosano’s making her way from Florida, and Kenneth Lang will be joining from New Jersey. As for me, I am looking forward to welcoming everyone to Times Square!
🗓 May 19, NYC.
⏰ 11:30AM – 6PM

This one will sell out quickly—don’t wait if you want to join us.

Ready for my LinkedIn tip of the month?
♻️ Here it is: Reuse. Reframe. Repost.
Many people think they have to start from scratch every single time they post. And I get it, that can feel daunting.
The truth? Only a small percentage of your followers saw your post the first time.
And guess what?
If you go back at least a few months, you’ve probably gained new followers since then.
Here’s your permission slip:
✅ Take a post that worked well
✅ Give it a quick tweak (or not— it may still be perfect just the way it is)
✅ Add a new hook or image if you want
✅ Hit publish
Reusing old content can be a lifesaver when you’re struggling with what to post. I promise, no one is going to remember that you shared it before. Just go back several months (I recommend 6, but if you haven’t been posting for that long, you can do less, especially if you tweak it).
💬 Quick Brew Q: What’s your go-to (re)introduction line?
If you haven’t (re)introduced yourself on LinkedIn in the last few months, now’s the time. What’s one sentence that captures who you are, who you serve, or what makes you different? Hit reply and share it with me—I might just feature a few in next month’s issue.
Bonus: (re)introduction posts are always a strong performer on LinkedIn. Your audience wants to learn more about you. Make sure to throw in something fun.
And that’s your brew for May. Here’s to showing up and sipping strong!
